Fairmont Windsor Park

We wouldn’t return. For what the hotel charges, the service felt indifferent, and it fell well short of the attentive standard we expected. The spa was hard to enjoy at the weekend, with no sun loungers or deck chairs available and lots of children in the pool. Dining choices were limited too. The main restaurant is a fine-dining Italian that needs booking ahead, and the bar menu is more casual, but service there was slow as well. We stayed several nights and left disappointed. At afternoon tea, even though we’d mentioned the birthday in our booking and the tea room was nearly empty, we waited over forty minutes for sandwiches that seemed to have been prepared in advance. Staff were wandering around the room instead of looking after guests, and we were left sitting there. We’d hoped for much better, and would struggle to recommend the hotel.

We had a lovely weekend at Fairmont Windsor Park and will definitely return. The hotel is elegant and beautiful, and the staff’s warmth and attention to detail made the difference. At breakfast, the restaurant manager and whole team were kind and professional. For International Women’s Day, they surprised Alma and Bruna with flowers and a handwritten card. It was a thoughtful, classy gesture that made the morning special. Thank you to Zainab, Ana, Emma, Khaerah, Skye, Aswabtha, Julinka and Nazeerah for signing the card, and to the whole team for such lovely hospitality.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud, and dinner at Il Giardino was the best Italian meal we’ve had in a long time. We also loved the spa, especially the heated outdoor pool, and the range of treatments was excellent. The hotel’s interiors are stunning, and it’s ideally placed near Windsor Park. From arrival to departure, our stay was relaxing and memorable. We’ll be back.

Afternoon tea had loads of choice and the service was incredible. The restaurant staff made it feel like an occasion, and the spa facilities and management were faultless. Everyone we met, from reception, concierge and valet to housekeeping and customer relations, was thoughtful and eager to make my birthday stay special. The hotel and spa were spotless, and the location was stunning. A huge thank you to all the staff. You’re wonderful at what you do, and the Fairmont management should be proud of the high standards and customer service. Worth every penny.
