We enjoyed our week and the apartment was modern, spacious enough and had a good-sized kitchen, but some things need attention. The bathroom was fairly clean and modern, and the shower worked well. Still, every couple of mornings the floor had mystery substances and hair shavings on it that weren’t ours. We couldn’t see where they’d come from, so wondered if waste from another apartment was backing up through the drain overnight. It was gross. The bedding was the biggest problem. The duvet and sheets were covered in hairs, the cover was bobbly and worn, and the pillowcase was stained. We ended up buying a new duvet set so we could sleep comfortably and cleanly, which we shouldn’t have needed to do. There was only one tiny wardrobe, barely enough for one person, so my partner lived out of a suitcase all week. There was no dining table either, just a tiny breakfast bar with one chair, not useful for two. Since the owners handled things remotely, there was nobody we could speak to about sorting these problems out. We liked the holiday and having access to all the Merlin parks, but we won’t stay here again.

Magna house was easy to find, thanks to clear instructions. It’s well placed near the train station and shops, and the room was clean and tidy. All the electrical equipment worked, and the sheets smelled lovely. The bed was right beside the entrance door, and the walls were thin, so I could hear doors slamming, people talking in the hallway and conversations in other rooms. That made it difficult to sleep early or lie in.

We came down from St.Helens for Thorpe park, just a ten-minute drive away, and had a great two-night stay at Magna house. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the apartment was spotless, modern and had everything we needed, including towels for each person. We cooked with the hob, oven, toaster and kettle. The location was great, and we felt safe walking into the town centre for food. It was a peaceful Sunday evening, with plenty of people around, and about a ten-minute walk. We’d certainly stay again if you’ll have us back. Thanks, Staylets.

Check-in and check-out were easy, which was a real plus. The apartment was spacious, clean and had all the appliances. The pillows and duvet were a bit worn, though.

Really clean, and a great spot for getting into London.
