The Old Coach House

The little details made this such a dog-friendly stay. We could safely let our dog off lead in the secure beer garden, even though it was closed for winter. There was a basket of dog towels at the back door for muddy paws, and they brought an extra plate of sausage for our dog at breakfast. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with a very comfortable extra-large king-size bed. We spent New Year's Eve here with our labrador and were welcomed warmly from the start. The staff were friendly and attentive, the service was brilliant, the food delicious with generous portions, and there was a great choice of drinks in an ambient atmosphere. It felt like great value for money, and we've already booked our next stay.

The room was spotlessly clean, and the pub's food was lovely and good value. Each day they refreshed the tea and coffee supplies, topped up the water, and put a small jug of milk in the fridge, a welcome change from the usual UHT milk. All the staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay again.
