The little play area kept my wee boy happy while we had lunch. The staff were really nice too. We’ll be back.

Booking was a good idea, they were busy and had to turn some people away. The service was friendly, and we both enjoyed our meals. I had the pork belly special, which was lovely, though I wouldn’t have minded another strip of crackling. My husband was just as pleased with the hunters chicken loaded fries. We’ll definitely return and book ahead.

The cooked breakfast was a real highlight, hot, tasty and not greasy at all. It was a full Scottish and certainly filling. The staff were pleasant as well. The building is old, so the rooms are a bit small, but ours was clean and warm.

Collin, the owner, remembered my pint order on my later visits, which was a lovely touch. I first stopped at Aberdeen Arms while looking after my daughter Samantha’s house in Tarves, and they made me feel welcome straight away. Everyone, local or visitor, gets a courteous welcome, and Collin is a cheerful chap. Locals tell me it’s good quality at a fair price. I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking around the area. Derek gibb 👍
