Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East

It was such a relief to find a hotel that welcomed our little dog so warmly, and we’d definitely come back. The king-size room had a sofa and loads of space for the two of us and the dog. We slept well, though the pillows were much too hard and could do with replacing. The shower was great, the air con worked well, and outside noise didn’t bother us. Staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were quick. A convenient base for Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo. Thanks!

The suite was huge and having two toilets made getting ready in the morning much easier for everyone. The children even had a room of their own, so the family room was fantastic. Just be aware it’s by a motorway. The building has good glazing, but you can hear things through the thin walls and floors between rooms. If you’re a light sleeper, take an eye mask and earplugs and you should be fine.

We found the service friendly, and there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was basic but tasty, especially the excellent pain au Chocolat. The room itself was modern, clean and very nice. There was some noise overnight from other guests and the plumbing, so light sleepers may want earplugs.

The rooms were lovely, clean and well presented, and the motel was very well run. The Super8 staff deserve real credit: they were polite, extremely helpful, and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. Well done to everyone involved.
