The garden-facing room was spacious and spotless, and we even spotted a few little deer outside. My partner and I stayed two nights, and Mrs Bailey made us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh orange juice, plenty of cereals and yogurts, and a very tasty cooked meal. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Mrs Bailey. We’d happily come back when we’re next nearby.

We were only here for one night, but I’d gladly stay again. Dawn was a perfect host, and breakfast around the shared table with the other guests was really nice. One small thing: like someone mentioned before, an illuminated sign at the entrance would make the place easier to spot after dark.

The house has a playful, pink and frilly look, a bit like the way Barbara Cartland dressed, and it’s fun for all that. This B&B is just outside Ely, very clean, and serves a good breakfast.
