The breakfast was a real highlight, cooked beautifully and served in a charming, relaxed room. We also appreciated the tea and cake waiting for us when we arrived. We cycled to Peacocks Tearoom in Ely and were greeted with such warm, helpful service. George was especially welcoming and attentive. Our suite looked out over the river and was beautifully furnished, with a private living room that gave us plenty of comfort and privacy. We had a wonderful stay, and it would be lovely to visit again.

We only had one night here, which was the only downside. The Cottage had everything we could need and looked out over the garden. It’s in a great central spot by the river, with easy access to the rest of the area. George welcomed us on a very busy Sunday afternoon and was lovely. We also ate in the tea rooms. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and there was plenty of it. Breakfast was brilliant, with lots of choices beyond the usual full English. The granola, fruit and yogurt looked almost too good to eat. What a find!

The location made it easy to enjoy riverside walks and places to eat, and the centre and Cathedral are a short, simple walk away. The tearooms downstairs are superb too, easily the best I’ve been to. Our suite was huge, with a lounge, bedroom and bathroom. It was cosy, spotless and beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. I’d go for the granola and croque madame, both delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was great. Thanks to Christian and everyone for such a wonderful stay. I’ll be back!

Such a lovely place to stay, right by the river. The cream teas are amazing, and everyone working there was friendly and the customer service was outstanding. Can't wait to return.

We had a lovely time in the cottage suite. The hosts made us feel welcome, and Dennis the dog was part of that too. Breakfast was delicious.
