I visited on a Monday evening, when they only had basket meals, but the food was good and inexpensive. It's a nice pub with great service. I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms.

The rooms were extremely clean and the bedding was good quality. The outside could use a lick of paint, and the room rates reflect the repairs needed, but it's a friendly village pub with good parking, great beers and a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the evening food is affordable. Breakfast was appalling, though at £6.95 I suppose nothing more could be expected. I'd have paid £15 for a decent breakfast cooked properly. Five stars for value for money and the atmosphere and staff.

Getting around was easy, with plenty of free parking, places to eat, and good access to nearby points of interest. We were comfortable in our accommodation, and tea and coffee were available day and night. The staff were extremely helpful, accommodating, and polite.
