Rex, the working farm dog, came along when I walked the nearby country lanes, where sheep might be grazing. You'll want a map app to find the property, and arriving in daylight makes the drive easier. The suites have big bedrooms, comfortable beds and generously sized, updated bathrooms. The owner serves a freshly prepared full English breakfast in a lovely dining room overlooking the property.

A lovely place for a relaxing, memorable stay, with a friendly feel and a delicious full English breakfast. This charming B&B sits in beautiful countryside and is especially handy if you're going to an event at the Ashcombe Adventure Centre.

I was in Exeter for motorcycle licence training and stayed at Lower Thornton Farm. After a day's training, it was peaceful and relaxing to come back to a lovely room with a nice shower. Alison was welcoming and cooked me a full English each morning at a time that suited me. I passed my test, and would recommend the accommodation to anyone needing somewhere to stay. There's also a very nice country pub just down the lane, which was handy for a meal. Thank you, Alison.

The owner was lovely and made an effort to cater for my vegan needs. The room was amazing, the location is stunning, and the two playful dogs are beautiful. I absolutely loved the place and really want to visit again in winter.
