Anne and Sina were wonderful, friendly hosts, and breakfast was filling. Our room was clean, we got fresh towels each day, and the Scottish B&B was fabulous. This was our second stay at Hillcrest in Eyemouth, a lovely retreat. It's well placed for a short drive north to Edinburgh or south to Lindisfarne and other parts of Northumberland.
Ann and Sina were friendly, and cooked us a delicious, filling breakfast in the eat-in kitchen. The room was comfortable and close to restaurants and the Forth to Farne trail. They'd also thought of handy little details, including a plug adapter, tea, and toiletries.
Having to order breakfast the night before was a big no for me. Everything felt too regimented, with things happening at set times, and 10 am checkout is too early on a Sunday.
A lovely cooked breakfast, and the room was very nice and spotless. Sina and Anne, if I've remembered their names right, were lovely hosts. You can walk to the harbor and the cliffs, with great views of the sea and harbor. Strongly recommended.
We couldn't recommend this place more. The house was beautifully decorated and spotless, and our hosts were warm and welcoming. The fishing village nearby has plenty of charm, and traditional fishing is still very much alive. Watching the seals being fed in the harbour each evening was unforgettable. There are also breathtaking coastal walks and cosy local restaurants for dinner.
