The Nurseries Bed And Breakfast Fairford (Adults Only)

The house and gardens are charming, and our room was comfortable with the bathroom adjoining. Everything was super clean and breakfast was lovely. Anne looked after us so carefully and made sure we had what we wanted. We felt very warmly welcomed and were happy with our stay.

We left relaxed after a great night's sleep, a full English and a very filling breakfast, ready for the next 240 miles. Anne's homemade compote was delicious. I'm not much of a fruit fan, but I could have eaten a kilo of that lovely red fruit. Anne really is a star, caring and compassionate, and she goes out of her way to look after you. We left feeling we'd made a friend. The room has loads of character, with an old beam in the middle, and it's nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was deep and comfortable, the room lovely, and the shower was bliss. I slept so well. We even woke to two owls calling back and forth for ages, with Fairford so quiet around us. In the morning there were cows in a nearby field going for milking and the church clock chiming. It all felt picture perfect. Anne knows the area exceptionally well and pointed us towards a walk by the river. We watched trout rising, a heron wading and a kingfisher diving into the gin clear water as the sun went down. The garden is beautiful too, with fresh vegetables growing and a neatly kept lawn. The house itself is beautiful, and Anne gave us such a warm welcome. The location is handy for RAF Brize Norton and RAF Fairford, both only minutes away, so it would work well if you're visiting for displays. I love aviation and enjoyed watching transatlantic traffic climbing out of London, along with a few big RAF jets coming and going. Whether you're here for business, a break, an overnight stop on a long drive, time with someone special, or time alone with your thoughts, staying here feels just right. You can see why it fills up so often and why people return. If I'm in the area again, this would be my first and only choice.

The house was sparkling clean, and the lawn was colourful and very well cared for. There are good places to eat within walking distance too. Anne was friendly, pleasant and always helpful, and my family and I enjoyed our stay.

Anne made us feel very welcome, and her home was warm and comfortable for our overnight stay. Breakfast was tasty, with cereal, homemade fruit compote, toast and homemade marmalade, plus plenty of tea. I'd definitely recommend a visit.
