I booked a night for me and my partner. The place looked nice at first, but the room was a nightmare. The shower head lid fell off, the beds had pink stains, and neither the kettle nor the TV worked. It was freezing, and we’d been given twin beds. Breakfast was meant to be included, but we didn’t get any.

The receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Late in the evening they moved us to another room because the lights in the bedroom and bathroom had failed due to a short circuit. The new room had only one chair for three people, no table, and a broken night light. There was nowhere in the hotel to have dinner or breakfast.

Music from the club downstairs was extremely loud all night, and the hotel doesn’t warn you about it. There were lots of drunk people walking around the hotel, so I didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. The towels, beds, and rooms all smelled awful. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The entertainment was enjoyable, but the rest of this wedding after-party was a mess, and we felt heartbroken for the bride. The fire alarm kept going off, the DJ equipment broke down, and there weren’t enough staff. The bride’s room was filthy and dusty, the candy floss machine didn’t work properly, and the toilets had run out of toilet paper. There was nobody at reception to report any of it to. Drinks were overpriced, and although alcohol was cheaper downstairs, you weren’t allowed to bring it into the function room. The floors hadn’t been mopped and ruined the bottom of the bride’s dress. Nobody should have to spend their wedding close to tears. Shameful.
