Flexi-Lets@Wallis Square, Farnborough

We stayed for three nights in September 2023 and would give it 10/10. We’ll be back for another family gathering in Farnborough. We were looking for an accessible place along a 40-mile strip of the M3 corridor where we could stay with our wheelchair-bound son, and only found two. We needed a bed on legs to fit the mobile hoist underneath, as many places that claim to have accessible rooms have divan beds. I called and spoke with Adele about our requirements. She took my number, then called back to say she’d found an apartment with a bed on legs. The entrance was at ground level, and a lift went up to the second-floor apartment. After delays and accidents on our drive down from Lincolnshire, we called the office and told Lucy we’d be late. She was fine with it and asked us to keep her updated. We reached Farnborough in time, and Lucy met us in the car park, showed us our space and took us to the rooms. They were very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. I’ve read some of the earlier reviews. The room was warm, but there was a balcony door we could leave open and a large desk fan was provided. I imagine the heat can be affected by the floors above and below. There was a TV and broadband, plus an en-suite shower room in one room and another bathroom with a shower over the bath. One thing that could improve access is a walkway between the cars outside the main door. We had to squeeze the wheelchair between two cars and fold in their wing mirrors. Flexi Lets may not be able to require that, but it could be worth considering for the future.
