The food was good quality and there was a nice range to choose from. I also found the staff helpful and friendly throughout. My room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a business trip, and the location was great. A very pleasant stay, and I’d come back.

We’ve visited a couple of times and it’s always impressed us. This time we came for a Sunday roast to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The staff made us feel welcome straight away, and kindly let me bring in a cake as a surprise. They lit the candles and even offered us a complimentary cocktail. Such a lovely touch.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots to choose from and everything tasting delicious. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were tidy and clean too, so we were comfortable. I’d happily stay again and would recommend it.

Millie, our waitress, made the visit even better. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and the food was tasty and well prepared. Had a great time at this pub hotel, would definitely recommend.

The food was awful. A lot of it had a strong vinegar taste, and the wait was long. My home made burger didn’t seem very home made either. When my wife said her fish was raw in places, the kitchen told us it was by design. Part cooked around the edges and completely raw in the middle felt like a cooking issue, not a design choice. Front of house did apologise, but our complaints ultimately seemed to fall on deaf ears. If you like vinegar, a long wait and raw food, this is the place for you.
