First time stopping in since it reopened, and what an incredible renovation. The bar room looks stunning, and Harry behind the bar gave us a great welcome. There's a lovely atmosphere and a great range of beers. I'll definitely be back.

I popped in while waiting for a train and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Oliver, a young lad, recommended Bear Island, and it turned out to be a delicious pint. Thanks, mate. I'll definitely stop in again when I'm passing through.

Its location is a real strength, right next to the train station and an easy walk to the town centre. Some areas felt welcoming and comfortable, but the cleanliness wasn't great and the service was poor. My experience with the manager, Megan, was especially disappointing. I found her rude and dismissive, without the professionalism I'd expect from someone in a leadership role. Her attitude left a very poor impression. This pub has potential given the location, but management, customer service and attention to detail need to improve before I'd consider visiting again.

After a long journey, this was my first stop for a quick pint. It's right opposite the train station, with a lively, pleasant atmosphere. Service was good, the staff were attentive, and the drinks were reasonably priced.
