The single room was small and basic, but it worked perfectly for what I needed. The bed was quite soft, which some people might not like. I was visiting a friend with kids nearby and stayed two nights because I wanted to get a good night's sleep. It was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were flexible about my later check-in. Breakfast cost 12 pounds, paid in cash or in advance with the booking. It was a decent fry-up with the usual bits, nothing special, but fine before a busy day. The hotel is a fair way from the city centre, though it's on one of the main bus routes and fairly close to Bristol Parkway train station.

The breakfast team put in a lot of effort to offer a pleasant choice tailored to you, and the dining room is nice and elegant. My room was clean and well appointed, and the location was quite convenient. At first I thought I'd lucked out with one of their best rooms, especially after a previous cramped stay in a box room up several flights of stairs. But there wasn't any soap, and noisy guests meant I got very little sleep.

The ants in the bedroom really affected our visit. Apparently they'd only arrived a few days earlier, but they put a damper on the whole stay. Without them, we might have felt differently about the place. Breakfast was very basic, with no fruit or cheese, and the vegetarian Quorn sausages were so hard.

Could be five stars, but I haven't had breakfast yet. Lovely clean place, with plenty of space in the room.

The room was much cleaner and more spacious than the photos made it look, and getting to the car park was straightforward as long as you follow the email directions. Bevan Court is the road to take. The woman who greeted us was friendly and gave us useful information. There are fixed prices, which was great, with no weekend surcharge like some other hotels. Toiletries were available, though we weren't staying to shower, so it was good not to use products that would otherwise go to waste. 10/10, would recommend for Bristol.
