We'd visited a couple of times since moving to the area, but this was our first lunch. The menu had plenty of good options, and the staff were welcoming with excellent service. Our meals tasted great, were nicely presented, and came in generous portions. We were very happy and will start coming more often.

The food was the highlight last night. There was melted cheese everywhere, and the Alpine burger with fondue cheese was to die for. It's our favourite pub in fordingbridge, though I feel bad that we don't go more often. The place had a special, festive ski chalet feel, with loads of people enjoying themselves. Wonderful!

A friendly, cosy pub with a log fire, right in the centre. There's a car park nearby, and dogs are welcome. We enjoyed our visit.

We stopped in for Sunday dinner while visiting our daughter, who's working in Fordingbridge. There were plenty of choices on both the menu and specials board, prices were reasonable, and the portions were a good size. It's dog friendly too.

The Ship is a lovely old pub in the middle of the village, with a good range of beers and tasty Sunday roasts at fair prices. The staff work hard and are welcoming, and the locals are friendly. We're always made to feel at home when we visit. They clearly love dogs, especially Labradors, and it seems nearly everyone has one.
