The breakfast was lovely, especially the best black pudding ever, and the owners were very friendly. It’s a quiet spot, as others have said, though the track/road getting there is pretty rough. The room needed a hoover and a dust, with cobwebs all over.

The views across the Severn estuary were lovely, and it was very peaceful. The owners, who are retired farmers, were friendly and helpful, and there are lovely Labradors too. Our bed was very comfortable, we had our own bathroom with a bath, and the shared lounge was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, there was plenty of parking, and a regular bus to Newnham and Gloucester stops at the bottom of the lane.

The hosts really went out of their way when my car broke down and had to be scrapped. They even drove me to the bus station at Lydney afterwards. I would have loved to stay longer in this relaxing farmhouse, with its quiet, comfortable rooms, a private guest lounge with TV, lovely views over the river Severn, and great walks nearby. Breakfast was great and parking was available.

We were here for a family wedding and had a really comfortable, lovely stay. The place has beautiful views, and the hosts were so welcoming and kind. They went out of their way to make sure we could relax.

The driveway to the house is long, though Newnham is very close. We had a really enjoyable stay, with a clean room, beautiful grounds and a great breakfast. The hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome.
