The morning views were absolutely stunning, and the continental breakfast was a great way to start the day, with ham, cheese, cereals, porridge and yogurt to choose from. We got an email with self-check-in information on the morning of arrival, then were greeted and shown to our quiet room. The beds were comfortable. There’s no restaurant on site, but food options in town are a five-minute walk away and Loch Ness is about ten minutes on foot. A great base for exploring Fort Augustus and the loch. I’ll happily stay at Loch Ness Guest House again next time I’m in town.

It was easy to get in with self check-in at night on my way back from Skye. The room was small, but very clean and super comfortable. Continental breakfast was included. A very comfortable place to stay.

The shared sitting and dining room had a friendly feel and a roaring fire. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable, and breakfast was decent too. Really nice guest house.

Everything was within walking distance, and there was good parking and great security. The host was helpful and polite, and did a great job with the continental breakfast. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom was a bit small, which isn’t unusual, but it was clean, well set up, and the towel bar worked! A great guesthouse stay. We’d certainly return if we were in town again.

After a long day around the Ilse of Skye and visiting Eileen Donan 🏰 castle, we felt relaxed here, which is all anyone wants. The place was quiet even with all 12 rooms full, and the lounge was large enough that we didn’t feel on top of anyone else. It’s shared, but lovely, and has a microwave if you need to make your own food. The room was very clean and tidy, with nice decor and a comfy bed. Beautiful location down the road from the canal and its many locks.
