That wood-paneled bar was a lovely place to end the evening, and dinner was a treat: the chef made us a special chicken gnocchi that we both loved. My sister and I had come from London via Glasgow for a quick road trip, and we stayed one night on the way to Inverness. The Loch Leven Hotel felt cosy and authentic, and we were right at home. It's tucked beside a peaceful loch, with 10/10 mountain views from our window, misty during the day and glowing with atmospheric light over the water in the evening. We'd love to return in summer to see Anoup and the team, God willing.

The hotel's history really made this place worth the stay, especially hearing about the 400 year old bar and the ferry terminal down below. Erica in the restaurant brought it all to life with so many stories. She was cheerful, full of light, and brightened up the hotel; they're lucky to have her. I'd suggest asking the staff to share that history. The few upgraded rooms are a great size, so try for one with the four tall bed posts shown in the image.

We stayed in the loch cabin for Valentine’s, and it was just right for a romantic break. Roses, champagne, chocolates and all the thoughtful little touches made it feel really special. The cabin was cosy and intimate, but would be lovely for any occasion. The view is mesmerising, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thanks for making it such a memorable stay. We couldn't have asked for more.

We had a peaceful, restful break at Loch Leven Hotel in Glencoe, and would happily go back. The views across the loch to the snow-capped mountain peaks were stunning, especially first thing in the morning. Our dinner was delicious and breakfast was very tasty too, with everything fresh, nicely prepared and presented. The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable, just the sort of cosy place where you can unwind. A lovely Highland getaway for anyone after relaxation and those views.

The on-site distillery is a real treat, and its gin is well worth trying. We found the hotel easy to reach from any direction, with friendly, attentive staff always around when we needed them. It has a warm, cosy feel, and the quaint bar is a nice spot to relax. The setting by the river is perfect, with beautiful views that made the stay memorable. A great find for exploring the Highlands.
