Frinton Escapes - The Cottage

The seaside is only a few hundred feet away, and this quiet little find is still close to the beach. The studio felt bright and newly furnished, with a patio area. Our large double bed was comfortable and nicely made up, and the extra cushions and decor gave the place a more luxurious feel. Good value, too.

My pregnant wife and our young daughter became ill, so travelling for our recent booking at Frinton Escapes wasn’t possible. We asked the host, Justin, if we could move the booking to another date rather than cancel it, but he rejected that request and offered no alternative. We didn’t get a direct response or any flexibility from him, which was frustrating and upsetting given the circumstances. We understand there are booking rules and that cleaning fees can apply, but we expected some understanding and care during a medical emergency. The whole experience felt short on empathy and consideration. If flexibility and welcoming hospitality matter to you, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We used the apartment as a base for cycling around the area, and it worked really well. It’s tucked away but ideally placed for both Frinton town and the beach. The bed was very comfortable, and the place was practical with everything we needed. I’d happily recommend it to a couple or a small family.

We had the top apartment, which was modern, comfortable and had everything we needed. Such a lovely place, definitely recommend it, and we’ll stay again.
