We were soaked when we got back, but received such a warm welcome and soon dried off in the lovely heated place. At Brookover farm, they let us leave our bags at lunchtime before we headed into Bath for the Christmas markets. I stayed in December with my wife, our two children and my parents. They asked what we wanted for breakfast and when, and it arrived right on time. Everyone enjoyed it. We'd all happily book again if we return to Bath.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from, and they cooked it for the time we requested the night before. We had a spacious, clean room and a comfortable bed. This lovely B&B is on a farm in a peaceful spot beside a river, surrounded by rolling countryside. The old farmhouse was warm and cozy.

My kids were thrilled that they could ride the horses. The rooms are roomy, the showers are nice, and the shared dining and lounge area is clean and comfortable. Brookover also makes a great base for nearby attractions. My family had a fantastic time, and we'll visit again next year. 100% recommended.

The cooked breakfast was the best we've had, and our breakfast host was really accommodating. We also appreciated the local walking route and the convenient spot near Longleat Safari. For the price, including breakfast, it was good. There were a few issues: the milk in the room was several months out of date, there were hairs in the bed and some dirt or stains, and we couldn't tell who was staff because nobody introduced them. Still, those things didn't spoil our stay.

The shower was disgusting, with thick mould, and badly needed a deep clean. The room was filthy too, with stained walls and bedding, dust everywhere, filthy windows, and no headboard. There was horse hair in the breakfast, and a dog wandered around the breakfast room. Worst B&B we've ever stayed in. We couldn't wait to leave. 😡
