The restaurant food was delicious, and we found the stay good value for money at a reasonable price. We’d travelled up for a family meal and booked two rooms. Both were beautiful, clean, warm and welcoming, with tasteful decor and lots of thoughtful extras. I had a great night’s sleep in the cosy bed.

The Crosskeys had a lovely warm atmosphere, and the food was like something from a fine dining restaurant. My husband and I tried it for the first time this evening, using a gift voucher, and we’re glad we did because we’ll be back to try more. The pork cheek was new to me and melted in my mouth. And the Belgian waffle with biscoff ice-cream was heaven.

We celebrated my 60th birthday here on 22.01.2026, and the whole evening was just right. The place is beautiful and the atmosphere relaxed. Staff were attentive and happy to help with anything. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and everything was cooked to perfection. The prices weren’t too high either. Couldn’t fault it, highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely evening.

The food was amazing, easily the best meal I’ve had out in a long time. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The pub is lovely and so is the village, though parking is limited. Service was okay but could be better. Thank you.

The food was the highlight, absolutely fantastic and worth the wait. We had beef wellington and pork belly, both incredible, then homemade ice cream that was sublime. The pub is nice, the serving staff were generally friendly, and the food felt very indulgent. We’d visit again if we’re in the area. Dinner took almost an hour to arrive, though we were the first table in for service, so they may still have been getting the ovens ready. Our room had plenty of character and was quite nice. The shower took a while to heat up, but the water did get hot. All the rooms are beside the beer garden, which is lovely for a drink outdoors, but it was noisy until things quietened down at 23:30. The location suited us well for exploring the local area. A pleasant stay, and I’d definitely recommend stopping in for dinner.
