The Woolpack Inn

John gave us a very warm welcome and was so helpful. The bus stop for line D2 from Bath to Frome is very close, and the village is quiet, so we slept well. The rooms could do with some renovation, though. We had a fantastic time. The service was excellent, the staff were good, and the food was delicious. Congratulations to the chef and kitchen team!

John even remembered our visit last September, when we were helping our daughter move to university, and asked how she was doing. His service was brilliant, and he was so attentive and friendly. It was only our third time staying in the area, but he still recalled us. Hopefully we'll come back when she starts again after the summer. Huge thanks, John, for your hospitality. John made our first visit to this pub during a long weekend away such a lovely experience. He's a legend, really welcoming and so helpful, with great chat. We stay here 20-30 nights a year, and it feels like having my local away from my local. The hotel needs a refurb, and I know it's coming, but the whole team is incredible. The food is great, the banter even better, and John and Nikki are amazing hosts.
