John and his dog Jasper were so welcoming. The cottage is a great choice with children, with all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay, even toys for the little ones. I highly recommend it.

A calm, quiet place to come back to after a busy day, and a lovely base for relaxing. It’s well equipped and the welcome was very friendly. The bed and sofa weren’t the most comfortable, but I’d still come back.

The cottage has everything we needed, even decent saucepans, and it’s a beautiful place to stay. It’s peaceful, yet only five minutes from my daughter’s house and 15 minutes from the local town and its big supermarkets. The owner was friendly and helpful.

The dogs are absolutely loving their holiday here. The garden is fully secure, with a pond and a covered barbecue area with seating, and the village is very quiet. Forge Cottage is spacious, with sleeping space for five or six if needed, and the thick walls keep it cool inside. I’m here with my two dogs after recently being widowed, and a friend came along to keep me company. It’s been so peaceful.
