The Black Horse Inn

We’ve made this little pub a firm favourite. The welcome is always warm, the food is well cooked and presented, and the drinks are good too. They clearly keep the pipes clean. We usually choose the lunchtime menu and have either two or three courses. The Ploughman's platter was excellent in summer, and on our last two visits we had the Christmas Dinner. Good food and generous portions. It was really busy today, but they soon found us a table and got us settled. Good food at a fair price with great service is why people keep coming back. The ladies who have served us have always been spot on, the service is second to none. There’s a mix of traditional dishes and a few more modern ones, with daily deals and great value for money. A lovely little pub, definitely recommend.

The friendly, efficient service made the visit easy, and the festive lunch club menu was great value: £14.95 for three courses. There were four of us earlier this week, and we all enjoyed the lovely food and very good portions. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Sue made the evening extra special for our son's 18th birthday. There were five adults and our dog with us, and we’re always made to feel welcome here. The food was great and the prices were good too. Thanks for making the night lovely for him and for us.
