There were five of us on a cycling holiday, and we booked all the apartments for five days. They were clean, well equipped and had comfortable beds. Having a cycle shed was a bonus. The bistro downstairs was great, and there’s plenty to do nearby. Everything was excellent.

Room in the Borders is a real gem, right in the middle of Galashiels and a perfect base for visiting the town. The place is immaculately presented, with gorgeous decor and top quality bedding, plus a coffee machine and smart TV. There’s a well equipped kitchen area if you want to cook. If not, plenty of good places nearby serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s close to the train station and there’s plenty of parking nearby, so getting here is easy however you travel. Thoroughly recommend, and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

The hosts were accommodating when I asked at fairly short notice to switch from twin beds to a king size. I spent two nights in room 2, which felt like total luxury, with its king size bed and huge TV for binge watching my favourite shows. Everything I needed to cook and eat in was supplied. There are loads of good restaurants close by. Okome and 1953 are now firm favourites, and the kebab shop around the corner makes delicious pizza. The rail station is really close, and cheap pay and display parking is a two minute walk away. This is my second stay at the Galashiels Rooms, and it won’t be my last. A real gem of a property.

We had to cancel our accommodation at the last minute because of unforeseen circumstances. Mark was understanding throughout and handled it very professionally. We really appreciated his efforts.
