I lived here and still miss the lovely balcony view 😂 The bus stop was right nearby, and Tesco extra was close too. I hardly had any issues, apart from the occasional person partying at night. Yeah, lol.

The apartment itself was awful, and the cannabis smell hit us as soon as we opened the door. The place looked disgusting, despite being told it had been deep cleaned that day. There were no curtains at the bedroom windows or in the lounge, which looked onto other accommodation blocks. Sockets were hanging off the wall, the walls and furniture were stained and marked, and the bedding was a horrible greyish white. It wasn’t suitable for anyone. We’d booked a different apartment a year earlier, but were moved here because that one had been condemned 😔. We were relieved something had been arranged, and check-in and communication were great when we arrived mid-afternoon. Still, being told this was meant to be a more expensive, better option made it even more upsetting. We’d travelled three hours to Newcastle and really needed that weekend away. It wasn’t the start we’d hoped for, so we found other accommodation and thankfully ended up in a wonderful hotel.
Such a beautiful place! The bridge has an interesting feature: it can be raised so boats can pass along the river.
The views were great, and the apartment was lovely, clean, and tidy.
Everything you need for a great stay in Newcastle, in a lovely apartment and a superb spot.
