The owner, Ian, was first class from the moment we arrived until we left. Friendly staff and locals helped make our group’s stay for my son’s stag weekend really enjoyable.

I stopped in for a pint on a Sunday while doing laundry nearby, just to pass the time during the dry cycle. It’s a great pub, and the owner, Ean, was good company. He’s been to more places in America than I have, despite me living there. I left with a bottle of Jack Daniels as a keepsake. Cheers to the Globe Hotel!

The drinks were reasonably priced and I had a good time, but cleanliness needs attention. The tables were sticky and there was uncleaned vomit in the men’s washroom. I also caught a stomach bug and tested positive for covid after coming here, though that probably wasn’t the establishment’s fault.

Popped in for a quick pint after visiting in the QE. It’s a canny little pub, and there was a very serious game of bingo going on. The pint was decent. I’ll probably stop by again if I’m over that way.
