Kevin was amazing during the first couple of days, constantly looking after everyone and giving spot-on recommendations. Even though he was feeling unwell, he kept a cheerful manner. The cosy rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, and there was a great choice at breakfast with as much tea and coffee as you wanted. I had a superb four-day stay at the Acorn. Just off Glasgow's West End, it's a great base for exploring the city, with friendly staff and excellent value. Just great!

Breakfast was massive and such good value, freshly made after booking by 8pm the night before. The location worked well for the exhibition centre, and the walk back felt safe enough. My room was cosy and clean, with a comfy bed, hot shower and extra glazing to keep noise out. It was lovely having the radiators on, and there were fluffy towels plus plenty of tea, coffee and decaf. Kevin at reception was great and even let me take my teapot out to the outdoor tables. I'll stay again!

Kevin, the man who looked after me, was delightful. He made me feel at home, was attentive and professional without being stiff, and cooked a great fry-up. The room was clean and cosy, the bathroom was great and the bed very comfortable. I paid extra for breakfast and enjoyed it. The price is hard to beat for the quality. I'd recommend this place if you're after a reasonably priced hotel in the city centre that keeps its standards high.

A very central hotel and great value for money. The rooms were comfortable and clean, check-in and check-out were seamless, and breakfast was really good. Friendly service too, thanks Alan. I'd definitely stay again.

Breakfast was cooked to order, the staff were friendly, and the room was a nice size. I enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel close to University of Glasgow.
