The room was so comfortable, with a superb bed and an amazing shower. We didn't hear any work going on before we checked out in the morning, and I'd definitely stay again. The hotel is well placed for the train station, an easy walk away, with direct trains into central Glasgow or to The Hydro. At check-in, a very friendly staff member explained the current works and that the restaurant was closed. She apologised, though the closure had already been flagged when we booked. There was a complimentary takeaway continental breakfast in the morning as compensation.

I was working nearby, so the accommodation was fine as a base. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and nights were quiet. The room itself felt tired and battered, though, and the finish needs touching up. There were no cups in the room, but reception could provide them. The on-site restaurant was fine, but only took bookings. Lots of menu items were unavailable or sold out, and a couple at the next table had been waiting a long time and were complaining. The hotel is currently undergoing rebuilding work.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which just about stopped the stay being a total washout. The room was fine, nothing special, and my expectations were already low for a Premier Inn. Half the building was being renovated, which also meant about four or five parking spaces were gone. The shower had barely more force than a drizzle. The Wi-Fi was so poor I couldn't even load an email. A carrier pigeon might have been quicker. Rubbish hotel, even by Premier Inn standards.

I've stayed here several times in different rooms. Some are okay, while others need a bit of TLC. The best part is the staff. Lisa, Jasmine and Madison made my stays more enjoyable. Now that the restaurant is open, the meals are good and the portions reasonable. With Premier Inn having finished the expansion, I hope they give the main hotel some attention too.

We had a pleasant four-day family holiday here, and the location worked well for us. There are halal places about a 15-minute drive away, and the motorway links are very good, which made getting food easier. Check-in was quick and smooth, and we had no major problems. The only small issue was how extremely hot the room got. The hotel provided fans, but they didn't really cool it down.
