Ramada by Wyndham East Kilbride

I won’t be coming back to the Ramada, East Kilbride. I stayed for two days and could see housekeeping was extremely stretched. The duvets had all sorts of mystery stains showing through the covers, and the rooms are dated, with carpets riddled with stains. Staff weren’t very attentive or friendly either. It’s in a practically derelict shopping centre, and only two of the five elevators were working.

The dinner was a bit disappointing, as the food was rather dry, so I’d probably eat elsewhere next time. The rest was comfortable for a budget price. The room was clean, nicely presented, spacious and had good facilities. It was quiet at night despite being near a busy road, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s always good parking, though you need the postcode from the website to find it.

I stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and the housekeeping was dreadful. They didn’t vacuum or clean properly, and most of the staff need more training. The hotel has the potential to be amazing, but right now it’s far from that. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it.

The room was freezing because the heating didn’t work, and the cleanliness was appalling. There were literally spit stains on the carpet. I felt completely unsafe here. The entrance from the parking lot seemed very shady, and the parking area was poorly lit at night. The layout was confusing, with reception on the top floor, and the staff were weird and unhelpful. This doesn’t feel family-friendly or up to the brand’s standards. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
