We had great conversations over a scrumptious breakfast with Helen, Mike and the other guests. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the gardens and wooded valleys look beautiful from the patio. There's a strong music influence throughout this gorgeous B&B. It was clean and comfortable, the best bed and breakfast I've stayed in. Thanks for such a lovely welcome, Helen. I highly recommend staying here.

We're frequent visitors to Scotland, but we still haven't found another B&B that matches this one. Helen and Mike are lovely hosts, with excellent accommodation, food and conversation. This was our third stay in four years, and we'll definitely be back in 2020.

Breakfasts are a real treat, a welcome change from uninspired full English or Scottish fry-ups. The hosts are so pleasant and helpful. Our room and bathroom were large, with a spacious layout and contemporary decor. Rear rooms look out over the patio and wooded valley. Best B&B I've ever stayed in.

A friend recommended this place, and I was sceptical at first. That didn't last long. It's a wonderful spot for a short break, especially if you like getting out and exploring. The village is beautiful and respectful of its soldiers and history, though Scotland has plenty of vulgar, overpriced money-laundering developments too. The local town has a shopping centre, and there are flying lessons nearby. For families, there are plenty of walks with views of the east coast in all its glory. After a day out, cocktails on the deck with those magnificent views are a lovely way to unwind. If you've done jungle warfare, you'll love it, especially when mist settles in the Glen. Check the plaque in the local pubs. The hosts leave you alone, and you won't see them unless you want to. The walls have astonishing art I can't afford, but I'm glad I got to see it. Have a great stay.

The facilities and decor at both properties are first class. We stayed in a room at Firbank Lodge next door, which is run by another family member, and had breakfast back at the guest house. The hosts were superb and treated us like old friends. Breakfast was fabulous.
