One thing that can be a pain is the car park, since it’s easy to forget to enter your registration plate. The rest keeps me coming back to the Golden Acorn. The staff are friendly, and everyone working there seems happy and enjoys their job. Food is always quick and delicious, whether I’m there for breakfast or a burger, and the hotel rooms are spotless. When I come with a bigger group or my whole family, it’s easy to get a large table so we can all sit together. I really appreciate that.

We spent a couple of nights here while visiting family nearby. The rooms were nicer than I expected, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom had a good-sized bath. Free tea and coffee in the room and at the bar downstairs was a thoughtful touch. I’m not a big breakfast eater, so I liked being able to buy the amount I wanted. It was excellent value, with breakfast items starting just under £3.

The wife and I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel, right in the middle of Glenrothes. The room was lovely for a short break, and came with tea and coffee facilities, a couple of biscuits and bottled water. Prices were very competitive too.

Now that’s what I call living: stay in a pub, drink as much as you like, then stagger upstairs to sleep it off. Get up to a full Scottish breakfast and a couple of pints of Bud Lite, watch telly with a few more, then have dinner and round off the night with a couple of double whiskey and lemonade. Epic! 👍🏴🥂🍕🍻🥃🥃
