Charlesworth Lodges

The park is beautiful and well kept, and parking beside the lodge was handy. The lodge itself is spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and a very large bedroom. The bath in the bedroom was a nice touch, though the hot water wasn't warm enough for an enjoyable bath. A sign on the boiler says not to adjust the settings. The hot tub isn't covered, so the weather made it unusable. The small boudoir room was only missing whips and chains, and the rug was comfy. Getting there involves an interesting little track down to the park; thankfully we didn't meet anyone coming the other way. We spent the New Year break in the Amour Deluxe lodge. One bit of feedback: there are too many signs around the lodge, especially the one by the kitchen bin. Nice location, but we'd probably not go again.

It's tucked away in a lovely location. The rooms were fine, though a few bits could've been cleaner, as you can't clean everything. We had a nice stay before Christmas.

The location was nice, though getting down the one way road to the lodges was awkward. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the pillows were rock hard. The last day was especially disappointing: the hot tub was cold and the water level had dropped when we went to use it. The helpline put us through to Mark, who didn't seem bothered and acted like he had better things to do. He kept suggesting we'd left the cover off or turned it off, neither of which we had done. He said someone would check it at 12pm, but after an hour we called Mark again. When we asked if anyone was coming, he sighed loudly and said they'd said they were coming at 12. Nobody arrived until later, and the tub wasn't fixed until 5:45. We'd paid a lot for those few days and weren't treated as we'd hoped.

The park was clean and well kept, and everything else was lovely. The place was beautiful and clean, the hot tub was great, and the hot water worked well. The only thing I'd mention is the flies on the desk, which could do with a fly catcher light. We'd absolutely stay again. Five stars from me, thank you.
