The location worked well, with food options and shops close by. The rooms are small and could use a clean in the higher spots, since there were a few cobwebs and visible dust, but it was okay for somewhere to sleep. There was only one receptionist on duty, and she had to leave the desk to help a guest, so the rest of us waited quite a while to check in. It wasn’t her fault, and she was very apologetic and professional.

The reception staff were friendly, and there are plenty of shops and places to eat right nearby. The location was great for my training course. My room was basic but clean and had the amenities I needed. The downsides were a cannabis smell on the top floor and inconsiderate guests repeatedly letting doors slam through the night, which disturbed my sleep.

The staff were very pleasant, and for the money it was well worth it. We stayed in room 214. It was clean, though a bit small, with clean bedding and towels. The bed was firm and the pillows very firm too. The view wasn’t much, but four pigeons kept us company outside the window. Sleep was poor because the thermostat beside the bed clicked quite loudly all night. The shower soap hadn’t been refilled, but reception topped it up when we asked.

This was the best Travelodge we’ve stayed in. It’s a beautifully converted mill, very clean and quiet, with a lovely view and all the amenities close by.

I’ve stayed here many times and it’s always been a good standard. The location is great, close to M&S, Lidl, Mountain Warehouse, nice restaurants and the High Street. Rooms are on the small side, but they’re clean and basic, with a decent en-suite shower room. The premium rooms also have a coffee machine and really nice coffee pods. A hairdryer would be a useful addition.
