The Lamb & Flag Hotel

We were here for lunch on Wednesday afternoon after the Four Waterfalls Walk. The food was delicious, and they catered well for one of us who needed gluten-free options. Our host/server was really friendly and gave us great service. We'd definitely return if we're in the area again.

We spotted The Lamb and Flag while out driving and looking for somewhere dog friendly. The staff were amazing, very helpful, and extremely polite. I had scampi and chips, with lots of fantastic homemade chips, and my husband’s steak and ale pie was cooked to perfection, with lovely big chunks of meat. They even brought a bowl of water for Bella and let her sit between us. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms are clean, tidy, warm, and spacious, and the staff are welcoming and nice. The food is excellent too, with big portions. I feel so comfortable here that I'd choose this place over a Premier Inn or a similar hotel every time. Highly recommend staying here, eating here, or just coming for a couple of drinks.

The standard carvery left me completely stuffed, and it was great value for such high-quality food. The staff were brilliant, friendly, and efficient. This is a lovely, traditionally English pub with fantastic food. I'll be back!
