The views and location are the best. I’ve had lunch here twice in one week, and both times the food was incredible, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff are a real asset to the Moorings. They took time with the guests and made an 85-year-old lady feel like a princess.

The room was spotless and had a lovely sea view, and the owners gave us a great welcome. We were there to celebrate someone special’s birthday, and dinner that night was first class, with every course mouthwatering. Akshar looked after us really well. Afterwards we had drinks by the bar, where Evans made divine cocktails. A lovely experience for a special birthday.

I was excited to try the menu, which I thought looked good, so it’s a real shame how things went. We asked for a table for two and got conflicting answers: one waiter said we’d be seated outside, while another said there was no availability and we’d need to wait inside. That was fine, but after more than 20 minutes with menus, nobody checked whether we wanted drinks or were ready to order. I even fell asleep waiting to be served. We were happy to stay where we were and have the food.

We came for the 5-6pm oyster happy hour and ended up staying for dinner. I had a dozen oysters to myself, then a bowl of mussels. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly. It’s right in front of the harbour!
