We had a great time at Windbrake House for a belated holiday with several families. It worked really well as a base for visiting Portsmouth, and the garden gate gives you a quick route to the seafront. Sally was welcoming and lovely to talk to. There was plenty of room for our group of 14 to cook in the good-sized kitchen, and the large garden and house had space for everyone to gather or find a quiet corner. The games room kept all ages busy, especially with its table football. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The property is gated, with parking for up to 7 cars if you squeeze them in. Highly recommended for a stay or celebration with a larger group.

We had a great weekend retreat, and I found it hard to leave the feather bed and blankets. The rooms were roomy and comfortable. Sally had everything prepared beautifully, and her handbook covered all our questions as well as lots of local information. It was just right for a big family gathering.

The breakfast was gorgeous, and we were greeted with homemade cakes. Our host was so warm and went out of her way to make the stay perfect. It’s a beautiful house right by the sea. We’ll be back, especially to see their little cat!

I look forward to my work stays here in the local area. The rooms are stunning and make it easy to relax, and the lovely host is friendly and accommodating. On arrival I was offered fresh cake with coffee or tea. I’d give the place more stars if I could!

The rooms were lovely, and on that alone I was ready to leave an excellent review. But the host was very rude. It would've been nice to be invited to wait inside for my taxi, instead the door was literally slammed as I left. I shan't stay again.
