Holiday Home Lothlorien

The lounge looks out across Morecambe Bay, and the view is breathtaking. It’s a great base for exploring the Lake District. The property feels like a home from home, very clean and modern, with a lovely garden room at the top of the garden. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Lothlorian again.

The new summer house is a lovely bonus, and the views are lovely too. Lothlorien is very well equipped, and Pam & David always give us such a warm welcome. Another very pleasant stay.

We loved having lunch in the outside garden room on a sunny day, surrounded by the beautiful garden. The views of Morcombe Bay from the lounge and double bedroom are fantastic, and the quiet residential setting makes the property a handy base for Grange over Sands, Cartmel and the Southern Lake District. There was plenty of off-road parking on the front drive. The house was clean, spacious and well maintained, with all the amenities we needed. Our family of two adults, one child and a dog had a wonderful stay at Lothlorien / Kents Bank Holiday Cottage. David and Pam were attentive hosts, with great communication. They met us on arrival and had fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa. David was happy to share useful tips about the local area and beyond. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re back.

We had three small dogs and found some lovely walks nearby. Grange-Over-Sands is a beautiful town, and we really enjoyed our visit to Cartmel races. Try fish over chips, it was very yummy. The bungalow at Lothlorien was lovely, with a beautiful garden, comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. It was very clean, and the living room views were amazing. David and Pam were great hosts, sharing ideas for things to do and places to eat. We got our ETA wrong and arrived several hours later than expected, but David and Pam had no issue with it, and David was there to greet us. I’d recommend a visit.
