All Seasons Lodge Hotel

The beach was really close, which was the main appeal. The room needed a more thorough clean, as small details had been left neglected for a while. The mattress was rock hard, the pillows thin and scant, and the carpet looked very old. I’d think twice about staying here if you want to relax, since the walls barely insulate sound. On the first night, ordinary movement from other guests set off the dogs in the building. On the second, someone slammed the main door four or five times, then ran up and down the stairs at 3 am. I know this hotel is cheaper and dog friendly compared with others nearby, but comfort comes at a steep price these days.

The room was large, clean and great. I didn’t see any staff after checking in, though, and when I left I just put my key in a bowl. There was a lot of noise from people upstairs banging around until 5 am, and no parking was available.

A quiet, comfortable little hotel with clean beds and nice staff. It worked well for a solo trip, with good transport links to Gorlestone High Street, Great Yarmouth and Norwich. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, and the amenities were good, especially the Yorkshire tea! Just a tiny thing, the shower had a few stains that a bit of bleach could probably sort out.

The staff were friendly, and the bedding and towels were clean. The bed was comfortable, and our room by the front door made it easy to take the dog out. It did get noisy when people came in, so a carpet runner in the hall would help with the lovely floorboards leading to reception. The room needs a proper deep clean: there was dust under the bed and in the corners, plus cobwebs on the light fixtures. The kettle needs cleaning, the toilet didn’t flush well, and the shower head wouldn’t stay in place. The shower screen rubber at the bottom was in poor shape. The toilet seat needs replacing because it wouldn’t stay up and its fittings were loose; there was also a crack in the toilet. The bathroom tiles, furniture and floor need a good scrub. It’s a shame, because the room has character and a gorgeous ceiling rose. I felt they might think cleanliness doesn’t matter because we had a dog, but it really does. I was going to come home, but my husband said no. I would stay again.
