Holiday Inn Express Greenock

The beds are so comfy, the rooms are very good, and housekeeping does a fantastic job. I come back almost every month to see friends and family, and the quality throughout always impresses me. Staff are friendly and confident, and I feel welcome on arrival and sure I’ll get the same standard next time. Breakfast is reliably good and filling. It’s not Michelin star, but it does the job. Holiday Inn Express performs so well that I can’t see myself staying anywhere else when I visit.

There are no frills, but it was very clean and just what we needed. The breakfast bar had a good selection, and the food was well cooked. Staff were pleasant and helpful, especially Greer. Mobility access was very good too, we could take the scooter right into the room.

We’re very happy with another visit. The place is dog-friendly and the breakfast choices are decent, though a dog-friendly breakfast area would be nice. The staff are friendly and helpful, and remarkably tolerant of elderly guests’ quirks. The accommodation is perfectly adequate, but some things, like the taps and shower tray, are looking worn and might be due for a refresh. If you like charging by the bed, bring extension leads.

The room was spacious and clean, with a big, comfortable bed. I checked in late, around 11.30pm, and the woman at reception was cheerful, polite and helpful. There were just two plug sockets in the whole room, both far from the bed. With people using phones for alarms and the like, that could do with attention. Breakfast was included. The hot food was standard, but there was a big range of cold choices like cereal. The machine coffee was passable.
