We booked for a night while attending a funeral in the area. It was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The place is under new management, with lots of upgrades underway. I think it could become a popular place to stay and hold events. Continental breakfast is included in the price, while cooked breakfast costs extra. The people in our party of five who had it said it was lovely, and service was quick. I’d recommend staying here and wish the new owners well with the refurbishments.

I got a friendly welcome and was shown to my room after making a last-minute booking for an overnight stop. The place could use some investment, as others have said, but it gave me a welcome place to stop and a good night’s sleep before an early sunrise start to carry on exploring. It’s in a great spot behind the police station, and I could park right outside the side entrance. With some money put into it, this could be a great place.

We arrived as five soaked cyclists and were met by kind, friendly staff who found us a really comfortable room at a great price. The continental breakfast was great too 😁

After a three-hour drive, we arrived for our booking to find a sign saying “closed until further notice.” No one had contacted us. The hotel number is engaged, and I’ve tried calling several times. Disgusting.

The room itself was very clean, but I found bed bugs and had to leave early. The property is extremely run-down and needs far more than a fresh coat of paint. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful, especially KIARA and another woman with short blonde hair who always seemed miserable. Whenever I went through reception, they were sitting around talking about people. It didn’t feel professional. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
