The pub is in a great spot, with lots of parking out back. Staff were attentive, and it felt clean and welcoming. Gweek itself is a lovely village with plenty of wonderful walks. I didn’t enjoy the lunch I chose, a small plate for £7. It was very basic hummus topped with chickpeas on a slice of sourdough. The bread was stale and so tough I struggled to eat it, and the dish was bland, with hardly any flavour from the chilli dressing. It looked appetising, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d come back for a drink, though, and probably just get a bowl of chips next time.

We had the two-course Valentine’s menu, and the food looked great and tasted amazing. Honestly, it was a party in our mouths, and the best food we’ve ever had. Table service was quick, and the staff were lovely, polite, and chatty. When my phone wouldn’t work, the barmaid lent us her mobile so we could call a taxi. I’d highly recommend it.

A proper local pub with a nice atmosphere and a big car park out back. The food is great and fairly priced. It’s the usual pub food with a twist, and you can tell the chef puts effort into it.

The Black Swan has had a complete refurbishment, and there are four real ales along with assorted lagers. We went as a family for Sunday roast. The food tasted good, though the portions felt small for what we paid.

A friendly, enjoyable stop while cycling the West Kernow Way and camping nearby. We stopped at the Black Swan for a quick bite and a few well-earned beers. It’s a lovely scenic spot near Helford River at Gweek.
