Sergeants Accommodation

The hosts, Chris and James, are friendly and proud to talk about the building's history and the only surviving outdoor hand ball court in mainland U.K., right next door. The location worked really well, with shops, pubs, an excellent fish bar, and bus stops just a couple of minutes away on foot. I had a great stay and ended up extending it beyond my original plan. The self-catering accommodation is basic but exceptionally good, very clean, and seems to anticipate just about everything you might need. Highly recommended.

There's a small bike shed that held our two large adult bikes, which was perfect for us. The owners are both lovely and helpful, and the accommodation had everything we'd need for a week away. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Two corner shops are within a couple of minutes, with a pub on the corner. Tesco's is about a 20-minute drive. If you're heading to Wales for mountain biking, Bike Park Wales is around 15 minutes away, and there are plenty of other activities within a half-hour drive. I'd highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

Christine welcomed me and was really nice. The room was lovely and cosy, and very clean. I felt right at home with the kettle, toaster, and Welsh cakes. The location was handy, about a 30-minute drive from Cardiff.

Really good owners, and the Wi-Fi was free. The bed was comfortable, and I was lucky enough to get two of them. There was a kettle, fridge and TV, plus the biggest shower I've ever seen, unless you count a military or old-school shower. Perfect accommodation.
