The Old Stables

The hot tub was the most fun and relaxing thing we've done, and we loved having our own little bubble for the weekend. We got to relax and reconnect, which is easy to lose sight of in day to day life. The owners, the accommodation, and the location all gave us that time to ourselves. We stayed in Dolly at The Old Mountain Stables, and the whole visit was amazing. Jennie greeted us warmly and was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless, absolutely pristine, and had everything needed for self catering. The owners have clearly put thought into every detail, with quality items throughout. It exceeded our expectations. We'll be back and would gladly recommend The Old Mountain Stables.

Jenny was lovely and went above and beyond. The next morning she let our nearly 2 year old meet and feed the horses and ponies, a magical experience. The children’s play area beside the building was great for little ones, and the modern, stylish accommodation had everything we needed. Old Mountain Stables was spotless and beautifully decorated, with stunning views all around. After a day exploring, the hot tub was such a peaceful, relaxing treat. We had an amazing time, can't recommend the place highly enough, and will definitely be back.

We all had our own apartments, and they were immaculate, cosy, spacious, and had everything a person could need. The children were happy in the play area, while the men enjoyed a beer in the hot tub and we gathered around the beautifully done fire pit to welcome in 2026. We spent New Year's Eve here and couldn't have picked a more wonderful place. Thanks for having us, jenny. We can't wait to come back.
