The meal was fantastic, the staff brilliant, and the pub is right on a lovely town square. We stopped over for the night with my wife, who elbowed me in the nose. Sorry again about the blood, guys. All in all, a great night.
Dogs are welcome, the servings are very generous and the food is good. Lovely ambience too, with the wood burning stoves roaring away.
I meet my Welsh friends here every couple of months because it’s halfway for both of us. The food is excellent, and it’s never let us down.
The food was the highlight of my Saturday night stop on the way further west. We started with sizzling chilli and garlic prawns, then had sliced sirloin steak, both absolutely delicious. The pub was full of locals and had a really good atmosphere. The beer and wine were great and reasonably priced. My room was modern and very comfortable, with fresh milk in a mini-fridge. Well done, and thank you.
The pug was very friendly and welcoming to dogs. Great food and a good choice of drinks, and the landlord and lady made us feel very welcome.
