Hackness Grange Country House Hotel

We’re so grateful that the team at Hackness Grange embraced all the odd traditions and rather wild ideas we wanted to include. Charlotte, Francesca, and the rest of the team helped make our wedding unforgettable, and night manager Karoly kept making sure neither of us was without a drink. From the start of planning, everyone was so kind and supportive. The venue is idyllic, the people are incredible, and Hackness Grange will always mean a lot to us. We can’t wait to visit again. Breakfast was delicious and well run, with the usual cereals and bread plus hot dishes you could order and have brought to your table. The countryside views are a lovely bonus. I was there for a wedding reception, and the staff were very friendly and organised. Dinner came out together in table order, moving from the dining room into the dance hall was quick, and there was a buffet later in the evening. The complex is several miles out in the countryside and has guest rooms, a courtyard, bars, and lobbies. There’s free, fairly ample parking outside the main hall. Phone signal is patchy, though wifi is available. My room was small, cosy, nicely decorated, and clean. The bars had a good drinks selection, but prices felt London-level. I can’t find much to fault, though the 3pm check-in and 10am checkout felt a little harsh.

Charlotte brought so much energy and fun to the planning and to the wedding day itself. She was thoughtful, creative, clever, kind, charismatic, and wonderfully attentive. Honestly, every event needs a Charlotte. Beth took over for the evening reception and was just as kind and attentive, keeping us on schedule and even sorting out chicken nuggets for us. We also loved being able to try a menu before choosing our wedding breakfast. Communication throughout the planning was fantastic, and the whole process felt supportive and stress free. From our first meeting with Philippa, we felt welcome and could tell the team cared about our wedding as much as we did. The bar staff and table servers were lovely, and the chef’s food was a hit with every guest. We wouldn’t change a thing about the day or the support we got from Hackness Grange. You can see how much the team love their work, and we’d recommend the venue to couples looking for a beautiful wedding and a smooth planning experience. Thank you for such a spectacular day!

Jess was amazing throughout, helping us at every step and making sure the day ran smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we felt so well looked after by her and the whole team at Hackness Grange. The venue itself was beautiful and made a perfect setting for our wedding. Everyone was friendly and helpful through the planning, which made it much less stressful.
