Grove Farm Cottages

The three separate buildings worked well for our large extended family group. Alfreds Barn had enough room for everyone to eat together, including Christmas Dinner, with space to spread out afterwards, and the pool room was a good addition. The accommodation has been upgraded to a very high standard and is well provided for. Many rooms in Alfreds Barn are en suite; Grove Farm seemed to have fewer en suite rooms, while The Milking Parlour has one bathroom shared between its two bedrooms. We were there over Christmas in December, when the weather was far from dry, so we couldn't make much use of the huge outdoor space. I can imagine it coming into its own from spring through autumn. Warmer weather would also make it possible to use the games room between Grove Farm and the other buildings fully. You'll need a car here. There's little to walk to nearby, and no safe route to the village pub, for example. I'd recommend the place very highly. I didn't pay, so I can't comment on value.

For a significant birthday, we spent a wonderful weekend at Grove Farm with my extended family. The farmhouse has a quirky style, The Milking Parlour is cosy, and Alfred's Barn gives you an open space for entertaining. We arranged a hot tub through Suffolk Hot Tubs, who delivered it the day before so it was ready when we arrived. We also brought in Country Cuisine to cater on Saturday evening, and they were 5 star. I thoroughly recommend the venue.

Caroline and Tim were both very pleasant and helpful to deal with. We were three adults staying in the Milking Parlour, and had an enjoyable time. The place was clean and the kitchen well equipped.

Tim and Caroline were brilliant and helpful all the way through the booking. We had a fantastic weekend at Grove Farm with friends for my 50th Birthday. The accommodation was beautiful, and I couldn't have asked for more. Totally recommend it, we'll be back! 😊
