My daughter treated me to a Mother's Day lunch, three courses for £35, and it felt well worth it. Everything was delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. My daughter said the lamb was the best she'd ever had. The staff made us feel welcome, and the place was clean and tidy. There's plenty of parking, it's dog friendly, and I'd recommend it.

The prawn Katsu curry hit the spot. Really good food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere.

We had a fantastic stay at the 1885 Hotel. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well kept, with plush beds and thoughtful touches. The staff were warm, professional, and caring, and everyone helped make the stay relaxing. It had the comfort of a high-end hotel with the friendliness of a family-run inn. At the restaurant, the taster menu was the standout. Every course was creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. The pub food was hearty and well cooked too, whether you're after a pie with a pint or something more refined. The welcome from the staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The 1885 Pub & Restaurant in Stainland, Halifax is a hidden gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough. It's well worth a visit.

The young woman serving was lovely, and the smart, clean surroundings made breakfast a pleasure. The food was cooked well and came in big portions. We ate here just over a week ago before heading down to Warwick, and had a great breakfast.
